National Museum of Australia

Explore the history and culture of Australia's land, nation and people

The National Museum of Australia is home to thousands of fascinating stories about Australia and Australians that will capture the imaginations of students of all ages. At the Museum, every object tells a story. Their dynamic, curriculum based programs bring these stories to life.

The Museums inspiring and dedicated education officers provide a stimulating learning environment for all school levels from pre-school to Year 12. In addition, their programs meet a variety of outcomes across the SOSE/HSIE, English and Arts curricula. They also cover several key Across Curriculum Perspectives including environment, multicultural and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education.

The Museum has tailored a program for our ACEC08 delegates so that they can experience the role of technology in education at the National Museum of Australia!
