Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex

Invitation to come and explore deep space

The Canberra Space Centre (CSC) is located on the grounds of the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex (CDSCC), one of only three stations in NASAs Deep Space Network (DSN).

The DSN is responsible for all communication between Earth and unmanned space probes from many countries, exploring the Sun, planets moons, asteroids, comets and other objects throughout our Solar System.

The CSC offers an informative and enjoyable way to learn about the planets, the history of space travel, and how we here on Earth communicate with, and benefit from the technology of spacecraft exploring our Solar System and beyond. The Centre provides guided talks and activities that are suitable for primary and secondary students, and has developed a tour especially for ACEC08 delegates.
