Make attending ACEC 08 your family holiday time

Spring in Canberra means Floriade so come and tiptoe through the tulips.

For the astronomically inclined you can get as close as it is possible to the moon whilst staying in Australia at the Tidbinbilla Deep Space Communication Complex.

Have a hankering to see some of the great buildings of the world but do not have the time or money? Visit Cockington Green and see them in miniature in one afternoon.

Have children that constantly ask why and how? Time at Questacon, the premier hands-on science venue will satisfy the most inquisitive child (and adult as well).

Keen on sport? Take time to tour the Australian Institute of Sport you just may be shown around by your favourite Olympic athlete.

Or have you ever wondered what it is like to cuddle a cheetah, have your hand licked by a bear or feed a lion? The National Zoo and Aquarium can offer you these and other unique experiences.

Then of course there are those other places of note that should not be missed:

New and Old Parliament Houses

The National Museum

The National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery

The National Archives
